I am currently working on two ongoing research projects:
Townland Names of Westmeath Project – this project builds on my doctoral thesis (2012) and includes all 1349 townland names in Co. Westmeath. See details here.
Westmeath Field Names Pilot Recording Project – this is a new (2018) community-based project which I am coordinating in conjunction with Melanie McQuade, Heritage Officer, Westmeath Co. Co. See details here.
I am also working on numerous academic articles and reviews in the area of placenames and Irish-language studies generally.
